Our Services
What to Expect:
There are many animal hospitals out there. Many are 1-2 doctor practices not able to offer your pet the advantages of a multi-doctor, fully equipped, state of the art veterinary facility. This is what sets our practice apart. Our team of five dedicated full-time doctors, skilled veterinary nurses, compassionate assistants, and empathetic receptionists make the hospital at EMRVC one of the best places for your family member's care.
When your pet leaves the exam room after your first contact with a doctor or technician, they soon enter a treatment room filled with other doctors and staff. Here is where many things happen to the benefit of your pet. Here is where your doctor consults with other doctors about all possible and best therapeutic options. Here is where your pet gets a lot of attention in a room of knowledge and compassion. Your pet, once in our treatment room, has entered the "hub" of an exceptional veterinary medical facility. This means they are often examined by more than one doctor, their plan is discussed amongst the veterinary team and ultimately they receive the most current, safe and cost-effective treatment. EMRVC offers you the benefit of a greater knowledge from a bigger team, equating to better care, better medicine and better surgery.
Come by for a visit, with or without your pet. Come see the inside of our hospital, with it's new soft textured floors, freshly painted walls, comfortable exam rooms and above all, welcoming staff. We offer plenty of parking and easy in and out, being only 2 minutes off the Beltway. Clients come from all over: Towson, White Marsh, Honeygo, Baltimore City, and even Pennsylvania and Virginia. Essex Middle River Veterinary Center will impress you with our expertise and our appearance.
Different from many hospitals, we can diagnose a lump or bump on your pet the same day as your appointment, giving you peace of mind more quickly. We perform surgery five days a week, including advanced orthopedic procedures to correct torn ACLs or broken bones. In major surgeries to remove the spleen or cancer, we utilize special equipment called the Force Triad that diminishes bleeding and total time your pet is under anesthesia. Dental prophies (inclusive of precision X-rays of your pet's teeth) are also performed five days a week. In fact, all of our technicians and doctors recently trained in current techniques for advanced dental disease.
We are a team of five full-time "Generalists," or small animal practitioners who work closely together for the well-being of your pet. We do so with the added benefit of our conference room upstairs that allows us to hold educational seminars throughout the year. These seminars keep us more informed and up to date on the current standards of care for our patients. The next time your drive by EMRVC, realize that within our two story building exists a knowledgeable, experienced and well-trained staff ready to care for your pet.
